When we aren’t busy with restorations for our clients, we’re able to fix up some of the units we have here in shop. Here’s a list of what we currently have for sale:
AU-505 #1 – $700
Here is one of two fully restored Sansui AU-505s we currently have for sale. This unit received our recap/restore service and it’s sounding wonderful. It comes with Mylar capacitors on the audio signal path and brand new walnut panels on the cabinet, beautifully finished by Mark, one of our techs here. The 505s are amazing little amplifiers. They used old technology (for the time) with capacitive coupled outputs. With todays 10X better quality caps, and increasing that output cap to a very large value, these amps really shine. AU-777 – $1200
This fully restored AU-777 is ready to find a home! This unit received our recap/restore service and sounds clean and musical, with outstanding imaging and detail, and a low end that sounds like it is a DC amp. McIntosh MC 2105 – $2500
It’s rare for us to restore units that aren’t Sansuis, but every once in awhile, we’ll come across something really lovely like the McIntosh MC 2105. This unit is an absolute powerhouse at 105 WPC with crystal clear, iconic McIntosh sound. The cabinet has some small dings in it, but is mostly in great shape.
